In the global context which the trademark’s field is developed, as well as their threats, such as the counterfeiting, ANDEMA is aware of the need of approach the protection of the trademarks in an international way.
For that reason, ANDEMA collaborate at community level with the following institutions:
- European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO)
- European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights
- Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROWTH) of the European Commission.
- Internal Market and Consumer Protection Commission of the European Parliament.
ANDEMA is member of two associations, one of them at international level, and the other one at european level, in order to influence the areas of legislation which go beyond Spain, as well as inform our associates members about the international or EU new legislative initiatives which could affect them.
The first is the Global Anti-Counterfeiting Group, an institution which groups international organisms and entities that put their efforts in the protection and defence of the trademark against the counterfeiting. ANDEMA is one of the most active members.
At European level, ANDEMA belongs to the Associations des Industries de Marques which was created by trademark owners, and its main objective is to reinforce the role of the trademarks in an environment of fair and transparent competition, to promote the innovation.
